STACY MARTORANA (WILEY)

Stacy Martorana (Wiley) became a member of the Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company in 2006, after she graduated with a BFA from the University of the North Carolina School of the Arts. Her first performance as a professional dancer in New York City was with the company, performing a section from Encore. Martorana was a part of the full length work of Encore when it premiered in 2009. Over her many years with the company, Stacy has been involved in the creation of several new works, such as Timebomb, and has also had the opportunity to be a part of the reconstruction of older dances, such as Shifting and Coupling. Martorana was a member of the Repertory Understudy Group of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company from 2009-2011 and a member of the Mark Morris Dance Group from 2012-2017. She has also danced for Helen Simoneau Danse, Kazuko Hirabayashi Dance Theater, Rashaun Mitchell, and Neta Pulvermacher. She now lives upstate with her husband and two young sons.
