Rebecca Chaleff is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of California, San Diego. Her academic research focuses on how the politics of race and sexuality shape and are shaped by reperformance and legacy building projects. As a dancer, Rebecca has performed with GERALDCASELDANCE, the Merce Cunningham Dance Company Repertory Understudy Group, Molissa Fenley and Company, the Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company, and the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company, among others.
