Madison Hertel is a rising senior BFA Musical Theatre major at Ithaca College. Originally from Traverse City, Michigan, she trained in dance and musical theatre at places such as Interlochen Center for the Arts, Overtures (Signature Theatre), and more. She is currently involved in RockHard Dance Company on campus as a dancer and choreographer, and has been a part of numerous productions at Ithaca College; Dancer in The Quiet We Keep (Aimee Rials), Dancer/Player in Pippin (Gavin Mayer, Daniel Gwirtzman), Dancer and Assistant Choreographer for Blowout (Daniel Gwirtzman), and most recently, Amalia Balash in She Loves Me (Benjamin Stayner). She is looking forward to being the teaching assistant for the entry level Jazz dance courses at the College in the coming academic year. Outside of Ithaca College, Madison has worked regionally; Dianne/Dance Captain in HAIR (Parallel 45 Theatre), Dancer/Dance Captain for various productions at Glimmerglass Opera Festival (cancelled due to COVID 19). She is thrilled to have been a part of the culmination of the Dance With Us project, especially during the pandemic, and is looking forward to sharing this installation of the Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company's legacy! Many thanks to the whole creative team and all friends and family who were supportive during this past year and beyond.
