LAUREN ELISE KRAVITZ

Lauren Kravitz is a freelance dance artist currently residing in Dallas, TX. She received her early training from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance. While in New York, Lauren was a member of Seán Curran Company, Take Dance, and Indah Walsh Dance Company, where she worked and performed at venues including the New Victory Theater (NYC), The Wooden Floor (Santa Ana, CA), Brooklyn Academy of Music's Next Wave Festival, Symphony Space (NYC), Joe’s Pub (NYC), Danspace Project (NYC), and The Watermill Center (NY), among others. Lauren is a co-creator and performer, alongside Shantel Prado, of the performance duo bait, whose work has been presented throughout New York at venues including the Jack Crystal Theater and Gibney Dance. She currently works as a co-founder of Dallas-based non-profit, Agora Artists, an arts service organization for local dancers. Through this platform, Lauren works to create opportunities for connection and support for dancers by providing programming and resources including weekly classes, festivals, and workshops. Lauren is humbled to be a part of the Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company family and is excited to be included in the company's Dance With Us platform.
