FRANCES SAMSON

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Frances is a former company dancer and guest artist of the Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre (CCDT). In 2017, she joined the Limón Dance Company as the youngest and only international dancer. Frances has had the pleasure of performing for Walt Disney World, TEDx, Miss Universe Canada, Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company, New York Fashion Week and Rotary International. She is an artistic collaborator for WHITE WAVE Dance, Frog In Hand, as well as the multicultural project, The Gravity Between directed by Jacqueline Bulnes with original compositions by Niklas Emborg Gjersøe. Most recently, she was an Artist in Residence at the Danish National Academy of Music sponsored by the Department of Global Affairs Canada. Frances is on faculty at the Limón Institute and teaches the Limón style of movement in Europe, Canada and the United States. She is currently the director of CCDT's Young Apprentice Program.
